With 2015 now well underway, we’ve had a few good snow days so far, and with the snow still falling and forecast to continue for the rest of the week, there’s some great powder up there on the slopes. This is one of the best opportunities of the 14/15 season so far to see and ski Verbier while at its finest!
There have also been some great new additions to Verbier this year, with the launching and re-launching of some fantastic new (and old!) bars and restaurants. There’s definitely plenty of places to check out for newcomers to town, and for those who come to Verbier every year.
One of the most notable re-launches has been the Farinet Après Bar and Lounge Bar. Under new ownership as of late 2014, the place has been given a facelift but not so as it won’t be recognised by those that choose to party here year on year.
The après bar has retained its draw as a place to party, with live music every evening from 6pm – 9pm, with Wednesday being renowned as the craziest night for those enjoying the beer-soaked look!
The Lounge still remains a great spot to watch the après from a safe distance (and importantly while staying dry!) with the glass wall that divides the two bars. This bar has seen more changes, with a fresh interior and a new tapas style menu being served from 4pm until 11pm. With a brand new cocktail menu as well, this is definitely a great hangout for 2015 (tip – the new Amaretto sours are to die for!)
If you haven’t been out to Verbier yet, now that the Christmas and New Year rush is over, it’s a great time to grab some fantastic deals.
